Blending in

It's a funny world we live in, where the people who cause the most scandal and uproar and chaos are the ones who end up getting the attention and the support, while those who refuse to compromise the steadiness in them that keeps their existence sane end up on the sidelines, neglected.

As I said on my old blog once upon a time, There are only a few main characters in a typical world. They're the ones who go on adventures and slay dragons and get girls. Main characters almost always get happy endings. The rest of us? We're side characters. We get by.

It's the kind of situation where you half wonder if you should just... be like them, just so you'll be noticed.  But of course, that's not the solution.  Compromising who you are is never the solution, nor is stressing people out and calling attention to yourself.  It's just not the way to do things.  The only thing you can do is fade into the background and wait, indefinitely.
